Oakland MD-300S Electronic Densimeter
The Model MD-300S Electronic Densimeter is capable of measuring density of solids and liquids with a density resolution of 0.001 g/cm3. The instrument includes: main unit, sensor (weighing tower), plastic water tank, support, holder, thermometer, tweezers, sinker grill, airtight windshield, AC adaptor (110VAC), an RS-232 interface and 200 gram calibration weight.
The Model MD-300S Electronic Densimeter uses the hydrostatic weighing procedure, which is based on the Archimedes’ principle. The buoyant force on a submerged object is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid. The instrument calculates the specific gravity of the specimen by comparing its weight in air and submerged in a liquid of known density.

Optional Floating Pellet Measurement Kit
Designed to keep floating pellets submerged during immersed measurement phase of test procedure. Includes 2 petrie dishes, a pellet immersion sample holder and a matching weight for the arial measurement phase of the test procedure. This kit will allow you to use distilled water for pellets that will normally float in water.
